As part of the new pipe upgrade, all water users (both pipe and open race) need to lodge orders notifying us when they intend to take water from the scheme.

Why is water ordering required?

Water ordering helps us understand and plan for variations in on-going water demand to ensure that sufficient water is always available and delivered from the river intakes so that air does not enter the pipe intakes.

It also allows us the ability to more efficiently manage water restrictions thereby reducing water shortfalls on-farm, schedule maintenance for least disruption to water users and better understand surplus water availability to best utilise it for future use (ie hydro generation, selling to third parties and targeting environmental flows).

Accessing the system

A web portal has been developed where you can access your water usage information and lodge orders.

This link can be accessed for use on computers and mobile phones. Save this link and your login details to your browser or phone to allow for easy retrieval. If you forget your new pin number at any stage please call us and we will reset it.

The system allows for two separate contacts to access information for each offtake as well as text messages and emails to be sent out to customers regarding supply issues, restrictions, scheme maintenance, etc. A larger farming operation may find it helpful to utilise the additional user login.

How to place an order

Once you are logged into the system you can view the status of your operating orders and pending orders.

To place an order:

  1. Scroll down to the New Order tab and select the required offtake. If you have more than one offtake you should be able to identify it by the maximum flow rate allocated to that offtake.
  2. Enter the Start Time and Start Date when you will be turning the irrigation system on by using the
  3. Either add the Duration for the irrigation cycle or alternatively add the Finish Time and Finish Date.
  4. Fill in the Flow Rate (l/s) required or alternatively drag the slide bar across to the desired flow.
  5. Click on Lodge to submit the order

For those with multiple offtakes follow the above procedure for those offtakes as well.

If you have a consistent irrigation cycle you can use the Repeat details section to set up repeating orders. Please be aware that if ordering many days or weeks out in the future, amendments may need to be made to orders if circumstances or weather changes.

Orders need to be submitted by at least 2pm the day prior to planned water use so we can consolidate the orders to quantify scheme demand for the next day.

What if my plans or circumstance change after an order has been placed?

Go to the home screen and click on the order you want to change.

If the order is still pending you can Cancel Order or Change Start Time using the buttons provided.

Likewise if circumstances change during an operating order you can Change Finish Time or Change Flow Rate.

Maintaining contact details

It is important that we can communicate with water users regarding scheme water supply issues via text or email.

You can check your contact details are correct in the system via the Communication Settings at the bottom of the home screen.

If you have any staff changes, please let us know.

Other information available in the customer portal

There will be additional information available within this customer portal such as water usage report information. Some of this is up and running but some requires further development. Please feel free to explore what is currently available.

We realise this is a significant step change in the way the irrigation scheme operates and we expect some teething issues. It is a big change for us too, so please be patient as we transition into the new system.
